Steven Pinker
Panel: Rationality - How to Inspire Thoughtful Reflection?
November 12th
18:00

Steven Pinker is an Author and Professor of Psychology at Harvard University. His research focuses on language, cognition, social relations, and rationality. He will bring insights from his latest book, "Rationality: What It Is, Why It Seems Scarce, Why It Matters". Pinker will close the main stage explaining why we think in ways that make sense in our daily lives but don't take advantage of the powerful thinking tools that our best thinkers have discovered over the millennia. In his lecture, the professor will address the potentials of using reason and tools such as critical thinking, logic, probability, correlation, and causality. With his distinctive good humor, Steven Pinker invites us to harness the power of rationality for better choices in our lives, for social justice, and for moral progress.
